My information about this breed was mostly supplied by Nhat Dinh
The Ga Tre, or Vietnamese Bantam, originated in the southern portion of Vietnam.
A weight of under 500 gm is preferred. The birds have a low carriage, short legs and a wide bushy tail. They appear in a large variety of colors and hen-feathering is accepted within the breed. Combs are also found in a wide variety, including pea, strawberry and single.
The hens are good broodies, setting clutches of from 3 to 8 eggs.
