The Leroy Brown Quarantine Center and Retirement Complex

The Leroy Brown Quarantine Center and Retirement Complex

Leroy is no longer able to cope with the other younger, more aggressive roosters. Therefore, after living in his juniper tree for 8 years he now has a new home. It is right next to his tree and he roosts outside in the pen. He's never been an inside bird.

This shed has always been my quarantine place, so when I added the pens I set it up so they can be isolated when necessary and the rest of the year Leroy can go inside when he wishes. He has my retired and almost blind hen "Kit" for company. (And, in the picture there's also a Golden Polish hen in there -- I'm hoping to get some offspring from him.)

The burlap bags on the fencing provide shade until I can get some more attractive plantings done.
